Today I plan on visiting a small fun fare set up in Kirkstall. Before I head out i plan on doing some research on night time photography. I will bring my research with me so I can use my time wisely and hopefully this will speed up the process.

After watching a few camera advice videos on YouTube I came across a few tricks in order to photograph successfully during the night.

* Make sure enough light enters the camera for a decent looking exposure.
* Keep your camera steady during exposure and try avoid any shake.

I plan on starting on 1" and using a high quality ISO (100-200) and experiment with aperture until i get the right amount of light.

Out of the 30 pictures I took, these were my favorite. I found that they turned out quite well and now feel that by the end of this project I could possibly produce good photographs.

ISO 100, F22, 5"

ISO 100, F22, 1.3"

ISO 100, F22, 2-2.5"

ISO 800, F22, 2.5"

Overall I was quite happy with the quality of the photographs. I found it challenging due to the many light sources. I feel that these worked well due to the low ISO and the long exposures, which reduced noise. I did not experiment with aperture as much because I felt that F22 worked well. The small aperture helped sharpen my photographs..
